2024 Canmore Canada Cup Mountain Bike Race

ANMBRA is a mountain bike race organization with a mandate to host mountain bike race events. As a non-profit organization, they strive to host biking events creating race opportunities for the greater mountain bike community. The races are inclusive. They offer events to those just starting to ride/race to an International caliber. As cross-country mountain bike racing is an Olympic event, having opportunities to race is very important. Many of the athletes use this event not only to increase race experience, but gather points to further race internationally, gain funding and sponsorship, and ultimately raise the profile of Canadian Cycling. ANMBRA will be hosting a Canada Cup event. As this will be the 7th annual event, they are well-versed in race organizing. They are expecting over 300 athletes from across Canada, the USA, and abroad to partake in the event. Peter Disera – 4 Time National Champion had this to say about the event: “Canmore is an ideal location for a high calibre race. The Nordic Centre has all of the amenities as well as terrain suited to hosting large races. As demonstrated over the last few years of National Championships being hosted in Canmore, the course, terrain, and location provide a challenge to riders resulting in exciting / dynamic racing. Furthermore, the ease of access for international and domestic travelling athletes is superb with YYC nearby. I would further like to add that Canmore provides a unique challenge of moderate altitude that is unseen anywhere else on Canada’s XCO circuit.” Peter Disera, Pivot Cycles – OTE
