Where to find us

You’ll find us happily located on the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rockies, 88 kilometers (55 miles) west of Calgary, Alberta, and minutes away from Banff’s east gate. The drive from Calgary’s western city limit takes about one hour via the Trans-Canada HIghway #1. From Calgary International Airport, it’s 1.5 hours.

Banff Airporter Frequent daily scheduled transportation between the Calgary International Airport and Canmore. Private charter services and activity transfers are also available.

Brewster Banff Airport Express Offers regular daily shuttles between downtown Calgary, Calgary International Airport, Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis, Stoney Nakoda, and Lake Louise on deluxe motorcoaches.

Nearby Destinations

  • Banff town site: a 20-minute drive (23 kilometres/14 miles) west on Highway #1.
  • Lake Louise: a 1-hour drive (83 kilometres/52 miles) west via Highway #1. But faster isn’t always better. For a leisurely, more scenic route, follow Highway #1 to the #1A Bow Valley Parkway exit 8 kilometres (5 miles) west of Banff.

Canmore’s local public transit service is your ticket to easy exploration. Hop on Route 5 from almost any hotel in Canmore and ride throughout the Town. Day trip to Banff? Route 3 will get you there and back. Roam will get you to some of the region’s most-visited tourist destinations, from Johnston Canyon to the Hot Springs.
