Get ready to laugh your heads off with some hilarious comics straight from Red Deer and Calgary! Join an epic comedy night at the The Drake Screaming Retriever Restaurant & Brewery.
Doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 8:30pm.
Your feature act of the night is Maxwell Xavier! Maxwell was raised in Alberta and is a rising star in the comedy scene. His refreshing and off-kilter humour was developed in some of the most prestigious warehouses Canada has to offer. After breaking out of the work site, Maxwell has performed, hosted and produced standup comedy shows across the country. His jokes navigate the nonsense of life, sometimes taking you deep in thought, and often making sure you don’t think too much. Performing in comedy clubs and dive bars alike, Maxwell’s comedy will make you question if the ordinary is absurd or the absurd is ordinary!
Your headliner for the night is Jesse Gettis! Jesse is a Central Alberta based stand-up comedian who brings his unique blend of self-deprecating charm with a delivery that’s equal parts vulnerable and hilarious. He takes the uncomfortable and makes it silly with his ability to turn personal anguish into joy for others with man-ish charm makes him a crowd favourite wherever he goes. He has featured for Calgary’s own Todd Ness, Dale Ward and Chris Gordon. You can catch him all around Alberta at The Laugh Shop, Yuk Yuks and the Red Deer Super 8 Motel bar on Mondays.
Plus a handful of warm up acts to get the show started! So come down for some great food, drinks and some laughs!
