Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada

Presenting Sponsor: Scotiabank | Hosted By: Sportsnet

A Celebration of Hockey

On January 18, 2025, Canmore took centre stage (or ice!) for the 25th annual Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada.

Against the backdrop of our stunning Rocky Mountains, the three-day was an all-round celebration of Canada’s favourite winter pastime. From a concert by country music star Chad Brownlee to a flyover by the Royal Canadian Air Force to breakfast with the Stanley Cup to back-to-back games to a ball hockey tournament, it was a jam-packed, puck-filled, national-attention-earning event. The three-day celebration culminated with the live, nationwide broadcast of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada with co-hosts Ron MacLean, Kevin Bieksa, Kelly Hrudey, Jennifer Botteril, Elliotte Friedman and Kyle Bukauskis.

Tourism Canmore Kananaskis was proud to be a part of bringing this celebration of hockey to town.
