Canmore Folk Music Festival in Canmore’s Centennial Park offers an August weekend of live folk, roots and world music that brings the community together.

As Alberta’s longest-running folk music festival, it fills downtown Canmore with the sounds of folk, world, blues and roots artists from near and far. Across multiple stages, more than 30 acts and performers share concerts and collaborative workshop sessions that highlight storytelling, musicianship and cultural traditions.

Families are welcomed with a dedicated kids’ activity area, making it easy for all ages to enjoy the music and relaxed outdoor setting. The walkable location near 5 Ave lets visitors explore town between sets and soak up the mountain atmosphere.
