Emergency preparedness is a shared responsibility. Join the Town of Canmore, Town of Banff, MD of Bighorn, Parks Canada, Alberta Wildfire, Alberta Parks, and the RCMP, on May 10th from 1 PM to 4 PM, to learn about what we have done to prepare for emergencies in the Bow Valley, and to find out about what you can do to protect yourself, your family, and your community this hazard season.
- Demonstrations of the equipment used in structure protection and wildland firefighting
- Find out about current wildfire mitigation projects
- Learn about community preparedness and evacuations
- Register for emergency alerts and notifications
- Sign up in person at the Fire Station to get an exclusive tour of the Debris Flood Retention Structure at Cougar Creek (limited spaces available; tours are scheduled for 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.)
