The Spring Equinox Triathlon, organized by Rocky Mountain Adventure Racing, is a unique snow-based multisport event held each March at the Canmore Nordic Centre in Alberta.

Unlike traditional triathlons, this race combines running, fat biking, and cross-country skiing, challenging athletes to transition between three distinctly different winter disciplines.

Participants can compete solo or as part of a team, covering roughly 5 km of trail running, 10 km of fat biking, and 15 km of skiing across scenic mountain terrain. Designed as a “shoulder-season” adventure to bridge winter and spring, the event celebrates endurance, versatility, and community spirit amid the spectacular backdrop of the Canadian Rockies.
