The Value TCK Brings to You

Who We Are and What We Do

We’re the official Destination Management Organization for Canmore and Kananaskis, marketing this place strategically to drive year-round visitation for everyone who calls it home.

When visitors choose this destination, every business wins. Tourism Canmore Kananaskis (TCK) brings our member network together to bring more visitors, all year round, to local businesses like yours.

Here’s a snapshot of some of our impact:

  • 713,000+ web visits driven by our website and paid search this year. Up 3% from 2025!
  • 109,000+ clicks from our domestic campaign across Ontario, BC, and Quebec.
  • Nearly 20% traffic growth from our US campaign in California, New York, and Texas.
  • 2,796 room nights and $1.1M in revenue from Expedia advertising alone, marking a 20x return on ad spend.
  • 7,000+ newsletter subscribers (and growing), with click-through rates well above industry average.
  • Peaks Trip Planner, our new online tool (and app) helping travellers discover and plan visits to Canmore and Kananaskis.

This is what it means to partner with TCK.

Marketing Focus

Our Approach

Our goal is to increase overnight visitation, especially in the spring, fall, and winter seasons, by reaching high-value visitors. Through our partnership with Travel Alberta and co-op buy-in opportunities across our marketing channels, we more than double our promotional spending, and that spending grows in step with our membership base.

Who We Target

TCK targets high-value travellers who stay longer, spend more money in-destination, and like to learn and immerse themselves in the communities they travel to. This aligns closely with Travel Alberta’s Ultimate Traveller segment, the Curious Adventurer — travellers who immerse themselves in the places they visit, leaving time for unplanned encounters and activities that allow them to truly know a destination.

  • Business Plan (PDF): how we plan to increase overnight visitation, especially in shoulder and winter seasons, through a triple bottom-line approach: People, Planet, Prosperity
