The Wine Workshop: Wines of the World

Love wine? Want to learn why you love the wines you do? Join UnWined@3Sisters for monthly, guided, exclusive tastings in store! On the last Friday of each month they’ll cover a different wine region from all around the world. They’ll discuss what grapes are grown in the areas, how their wines are classified, and what winemaking traditions are followed. You’ll also taste three to four wines ranging in quality from the cheap and cheerful to the premium. You will learn more about what wines pair well with certain foods, and how to ask the right questions to find the right wine in the future. You will take home a bottle of the “Mid Level” wine to enjoy again at home, and you will have the opportunity to join the UnWined Insiders. After each tasting event they host you will receive an email recap of the topics we covered, the wines we tasted, and notes for those wines.

When: Friday, January 30th, 8pm

Where: 102b Dyrgas Gate, Canmore, AB, Canada

This series will split Italy into a four different areas, the Northeast, Northwest, Central, and Southern. They’ll begin in the Northeast, home of Barolo, Barbaresco, Barbera, and Moscato. You’ll taste three wines to get familiar with the area, and give you many recommendations for other wines in this region worth seeking out.

Entry level: Moscato d’Asti

Mid level: Barbera d’Asti

Premium: Barolo
