Aug 17
Get a taste of real rock climbing in the Canadian Rockies! Whether you’re brand new to climbing or just looking to get outside on the rock, this guided experience is designed for all skill levels.
ACMG-certified guides will show you the ropes (literally) and help you feel confident, safe, and empowered on the rock. You’ll learn climbing techniques, get hands-on belay instruction, and have plenty of time to climb at your own pace. This is a low-pressure, beginner-friendly event open to all experience levels.
All climbing equipment is provided, including helmets, harnesses, rock shoes, and belay devices. Just bring water, weather-appropriate clothing, and a sense of adventure.
Space is limited, so don’t miss your chance to get outside, challenge yourself, and connect with fellow young adults in the Bow Valley.
MEETING & TRANSPORTATION
Participants will be meeting the guides at Beamers on Railway to decide together a climbing location. Transportation will not be provided. If you need support with getting out to the rock, please reach out to the CYAN team and we will try our best to arrange carpooling. If you have a vehicle and are willing to carpool with participants who don’t, please kindly let us know. Please note, climbing location may require a Kananaskis Conservation Pass.
