Oct 1 (4:00pm - 5:00pm)

Starting October 1st, 2020, on the first Thursday of each month from 4:00pm – 5:30pm, the Canmore Museum will be hosting “The Stories of Canmore” Book Club. Each month we will be choosing a new book by a local author containing local stories, and on the first Thursday of the month we will join together by Zoom to discuss the stories, themes, and takeaways of the book, as well as have an opportunity to share personal anecdotes and thoughts and commentaries about the book.

This month’s book, leading up to the October 1st Book Club meeting will be: Survival in Paradise: A Century of Coal Mining in the Bow Valley.

By joining “The Stories of Canmore” Book Club, you will be able to purchase the book of the month at the Canmore Museum for 25% off, have a chance to win “door” prizes for coming to the Book Club, and hear from guest speakers from time to time. And, as a special Book Club launch, by signing up for the “The Stories of Canmore” Book Club you will receive a copy of September’s Book, Survival in Paradise: A Century of Coal Mining in the Bow Valley, for free upon pickup from the Canmore Museum.

Joining the Book Club is free, but you must register for each one on Eventbrite.
Register here for the first book club on October 1st.
