Step into a magical winter evening with Canmore Young Adult Network and Kananaskis Outfitters for a guided Snowshoe & Stargazing Tour beneath the vast mountain sky. Wander through a frosty forest trail with a certified guide as you learn about the constellations, planets, and myths that light up the night.
Far from city lights, the snow-covered landscape becomes the perfect setting to pause, sip a warm drink, and take in the Milky Way. Whether you’re a seasoned stargazer or just love being outdoors, this adventure blends the beauty of winter with the wonder of the cosmos.
You’re welcome to bring a camera and tripod for some astrophotography – or simply cozy up, chat with new friends, and gaze at the stars.
All equipment is provided. No experience required – just dress warmly and get ready for a night that’s equal parts peaceful and awe-inspiring.
Transportation
This tour begins at Kananaskis Outfitters in Kananaskis Village. Please indicate in the registration page if you will need transportation – please note there are limited spots in the bus so please only request transportation if necessary.
Clothing
Please dress warmly. You will be outside for an extended time at night. Wear lots of waterproof layers and bring hand/feet warmers if preferred!
