Rustica Steakhouse – Nestled into the slopes of Mount Lady MacDonald on the Silvertip Golf Course, Rustica Steakhouse is the highest restaurant in Canmore at an elevation of over 5100 ft. Cut into a tender 100% Canadian Prime cut of beef – the top 0.3% of beef in Canada. Their wine cellar carries bottles from all over the world, and vintages sought out by connoisseurs. The views are incredible and it’s always fun to watch golfers attempt Hole #18!
The Trough – The Trough is a cozy and intimate dining experience. With just 10 tables, this family-run restaurant focuses on the details and the atmosphere. Gourmet and unique international cuisine. Open most evenings, and located off Main Street, behind the Civic Centre. Reservations Recommended!
Tapas – Voted “Most Romantic Restaurant in the Rockies” by Lifestyle Magazine, Tapas is a spanish-inspired restaurant tucked away in a character house near Main Street. True to its name, Tapas serves an array of appetizer dishes that are made for sharing. You have to try their house made Sangria and their “Lobster Nuggets”, which are served “escargot style” in garlic, herb butter with pistachios and pernod.
Habitat – Habitat is a modern, stylish restaurant serving international cuisine with an Asian twist. Well known for their 3-course table d’hôte menu, and their Mussel Wednesdays. Try their roasted garlic aioli crab cakes or the “Game Changer” — a combination of Bison Short Ribs and Elk Osso Bucco.
